๐ Santa Gift Delivery Tips: Match Every Wish, Dodge the Geese & Beat the Dawn
There's something quietly lovely about a game where the whole point is making children happy before morning. Santa Gift Delivery is the gentlest game in the Jollycade arcade and, past the first couple of nights, one of the trickiest. You guide Santa's sleigh across the rooftops, and every house is dreaming of one special gift โ a picture wish floats above its chimney, and your job is to drop the matching gift down that chimney before dawn breaks. Night 1 asks for 5 deliveries. It sounds like a Christmas card. It plays like a race against the sun, with geese.
The controls are a delight once they click: hold anywhere on the sky to climb, let go to float down, and tap the big DROP button โ or press Space โ to drop the gift sitting on top of Santa's sack. A wrong or missed gift simply floats back into the sack, so there's no punishment for a bad drop, only lost time. And time is the whole game. Dawn is coming, the quota is waiting, and somewhere up ahead a goose has decided your sleigh looks like a personal insult. This free Christmas game online is really a game about reading the rooftops ahead of you instead of the one directly underneath you.

Read the wish before you fly the route
Every house shows a picture wish above its chimney โ a doll, a train, a teddy bear, whatever that particular child is dreaming of. The single biggest time-saver in the game is reading those wishes early, while you're still two rooftops away, instead of arriving over a chimney and then trying to work out what it wants. Your eyes should always be one or two houses ahead of your sleigh. When you can see the next wish before you finish the current delivery, the whole night flows: climb, drop, drift, climb, drop, drift, like a little rooftop waltz.
And here's the part that took me a few nights to internalise: you don't have to deliver in the order the houses appear. If the gift on top of your sack matches a house further along, fly past the near one and come back to it. Santa's sack cycles through gifts, so the order of deliveries is yours to choose. Chasing the order the rooftops hand you is slower than planning two drops ahead.
The Magic Star houses are free points โ take them
Some houses carry a Magic Star, and those are the best friends you'll make all night. A Star house accepts ANY gift and grants a surprise bonus, which means it solves two problems at once: it clears a gift you're stuck with, and it pays you for the trouble. When a Star house is on screen, it jumps the queue. Deliver there first, especially if the gift on your sack doesn't match anything nearby โ it's the game's way of handing you a reset button exactly when you need one.
Fly smooth, not fast
The sleigh has a lovely float to it, and the temptation is to yank it up and down like a yo-yo. Don't. Short, gentle holds on the sky give you a smooth climb; letting go gives you a soft float down. The gift drops straight down from the sleigh, so the shot that lands is the one where the sleigh is steady and directly above the chimney โ not the one where you're still drifting sideways and hoping. A half-second of steadying before the drop is worth more than three rushed drops that float back into the sack. Missed gifts cost nothing but time, but time is the only currency this game has, and dawn doesn't negotiate.
Geese and wind: the later nights get personal
From the later nights on, the sky stops being empty. Geese wander across your flight path, and wind starts pushing the sleigh around โ both of them specifically designed to ruin a perfectly good delivery run. The geese are the easier problem: they fly in patterns, and if you watch one for a second you can see where it's going. Fly under or over, never through. The wind is sneakier, because it changes how your sleigh handles without announcing itself โ if the sleigh starts drifting further than you expect, you're in wind, and the fix is smaller, more frequent corrections instead of big holds. Think of it like driving on ice: gentle inputs, early corrections, no sudden moves.
When dawn is breaking, ask the moon
Sometimes a night goes sideways โ a goose, a gust, three missed drops in a row โ and suddenly the sun is coming up with deliveries still to make. That's what the revive is for: ask the moon for +20 seconds. It's not a failure, it's a tool, and using it on a night where you're one delivery short is the difference between a completed night and starting over. Save it for the nights that matter, but don't be too proud to use it. Santa has a whole town to cover, and the moon is on his side.
Your Christmas Eve checklist
- Read wishes one or two houses ahead โ the night flows when your eyes are in front of your sleigh.
- Deliver in your own order โ fly past a house if its gift doesn't match; come back when the sack cycles round.
- Star houses jump the queue โ any gift works there, plus a surprise bonus; use them to clear a gift you're stuck with.
- Steady before you drop โ a half-second of stillness above the chimney beats three rushed misses.
- Fly smooth in wind โ small, frequent corrections; never fight a gust with a big hold.
- Watch the geese patterns โ fly around them, never through; a second of watching saves a ruined run.
- Ask the moon for +20 seconds when dawn is breaking and you're one delivery short.
Santa Gift Delivery is a game about kindness with a stopwatch โ gentle on the surface, quietly demanding underneath, and deeply satisfying when a whole night of rooftops clicks into place and the last gift slides down the last chimney just before the sun comes up.
