๐Ÿšด BMX Trick Game Tips: Pump, Fly & Chain Tricks in BMX Trick Masters

My first run in BMX Trick Masters lasted about fifteen seconds: I launched off the first ramp in Rookie Plaza, mashed the trick button, and came down mid-trick straight into the dirt. That's this BMX trick game in a nutshell: everything it gives you, it can take away the second you get greedy.

Here's the deal. You ride a side-scrolling park full of ramps, rails, quarter pipes and gaps. Hold down to pump for speed, fly off a lip, tap to throw a trick mid-air, and land clean to bank the points. Land while a trick is still spinning and you bail โ€” your air points vanish, your speed gets cut in half, and you're stuck for half a second while the park rolls on. Simple controls, brutal timing โ€” and the moment a combo finally banks clean, it feels earned in a way few browser games manage.

Pump first โ€” speed is everything in this BMX trick game

Nothing in BMX Trick Masters works without speed, and speed comes from pumping. Hold โ†“ (or hold the left side of the screen on touch) and your rider builds pace โ€” the faster you hit a ramp lip, the higher you fly, and the more airtime you get to work with. Start pumping the moment a run begins, not when you can see the ramp: by the time the lip is in view, it's already too late to build anything.

Match the trick to your airtime, not your ambition

Each park unlocks one new trick, and they get longer and richer as you go: No-Hander (60 points) in Park 1, then Tailwhip (90), Barspin (110), Tabletop (130), 360 Spin (170), Superman (210), Backflip (280) and finally the Double Tailwhip (360) in the Grand Finals. Every tap in the air starts the next trick in the rotation.

The trap is obvious once you've fallen into it a few times: the Backflip pays 280, so you want to throw it everywhere. But it takes 0.7 seconds to complete, and if the ground arrives first, you bail and lose everything you had floating. My rule now is boring and it works โ€” small air, one quick trick; big air off a quarter pipe or the mega ramp, then go for the long ones. A finished No-Hander banked beats a half-finished Superman lost in the dirt. Every single time.

The chain window: bank fast or lose it all

This is the part that separates a decent score from a target-smashing one. Land a trick clean and your points bank โ€” but you also start a chain. Trick again within 3.2 seconds and the chain grows, adding 25% to every trick after it, up to six steps.

The catch, and it's a big one: the chain only survives while you keep landing. One bail resets it to zero along with your unbanked points. So the rhythm of a great run is pump, fly, trick, land, pump again โ€” fast, almost impatient, but never sloppy. When I feel the chain window ticking I stop reaching for the fanciest trick and take whatever I can finish.

Grind rails, grab Style Stars โ€” the free points hiding in plain sight

Rails show up from Park 2 (Rail Yard) onward, and they're the easiest points in the game: hold over a rail and it ticks away at about 95 points a second, with your chain bonus on top. No timing, no landing, no risk โ€” just hold and ride.

Then there are the Style Stars floating above the ramps. Grab one mid-air and it hands you something random: a straight +200 bonus, HYPE ร—2 for 8 seconds (every trick worth double), a speed burst, or โ€” my favourite โ€” a Bail Shield that forgives exactly one bad landing. Stars are a bonus, not a plan: I'll drift toward one if it's on my line, but I won't swerve across a park for it. Chasing a star into a bad landing is the most BMX Trick Masters way to lose a run there is.

What I'd tell a friend before their first run

That's BMX Trick Masters: eight parks, eight tricks, and a score target that keeps daring you to go bigger โ€” Rookie Plaza's 650 feels generous until you're staring at the Grand Finals' 3,900. Your best score is saved, so there's always a number to beat. More guides like this live on the Jollycade blog, and the homepage has the rest of the arcade waiting.
